Mark your calendars and don’t miss the 2017 Great Lakes Homeland Security Training Conference and Expo being held at the DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This year's theme is “Protecting Our Homeland,” and will draw attendees into the pertinent world of terrorism. The threats we face are real, increasing in occurrence, and recognize no boundaries. We must expand our knowledge and unite in our efforts to combat terrorism and protect our homeland.

Registration is now open for the National Healthcare Coalition Preparedness Conference (NHCPC) in Washington, DC on December 13-14, 2016. The National Healthcare Coalition Preparedness Conference (NHCPC) is expanding opportunities for learning about the implementation of healthcare coalitions and coalition activities in our communities. While the NHCPC supports coalitions attempting to meet HHS/ASPR HPP and CDC PHEP grant program requirements, the Conference is independent and exists for coalitions, by coalitions.
The Michigan Infectious Disease Society and Michigan Department of Health and Human Services will host the Annual Fall Scientific Conference on Thursday, November 3, 2016, from 11:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Novi. Topics include: Zika, Mycabocterium chimera in surgery patients, sexually transmitted infections, Lyme carditis, and antimicrobial stewardship.
