On Wednesday, January 3 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. ET Keith Hansen and Kristi Sanger, Co-Directors of the Association of Healthcare Emergency Preparedness Professionals (AHEPP), will discuss the development of the AHEPP Professional Standards and Certification. The presentation will include the process, requirements, cost and timeline of the AHEPP Professional Certification. They also plan to discuss the upcoming AHEPP Annual conference agenda and priorities. This webinar is FREE and open to all members and non-members of AHEPP.

Topics will continue to build knowledge for emergency managers in hospitals and other healthcare facilities as well as coalitions, local health departments, tribes and others. This series is the third Tuesday every month from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m.

Bay Bluffs partners with North Central Michigan College to announce the launch of a Fast Track nurse aide training program, kicking off in October. 
​The Northern Michigan healthcare system, and particularly Bay Bluffs, relies heavily on the expertise and care of certified nurse aides.  Right now there are more community members needing care from Long Term Care facilities than they can safely bring in due to their staffing. This course is one one of many solutions being worked on to recruit NEW folks to the healthcare workforce.  The Northern Michigan community depends on the success of this and other health programs that NCMC offers.  

Please note that there are funding options available. If you are interested please apply for the NCMC program and request outreach for funding of the training.
