New ASPR TRACIE Resources

In anticipation of the release of theEmergency Preparedness Requirements for Medicare and Medicaid Participating Providers and Suppliers, ASPR TRACIE developed a dedicated CMS Resources page with links to resources that can help you start or update your planning process.

We will work closely with CMS to update the page and support technical assistance requests, such as this request received from a healthcare coalition and the related at-a-glance chart developed by CMS. This rule provides healthcare coalitions a tremendous opportunity to strengthen relationships and leverage a broader group of personnel and resources to provide for the medical needs of the whole community during a disaster. And if you haven't already, enroll TODAY for the Medicare Learning Network National Call on Wednesday, October 5 from 1:30 - 3:00 PM Eastern Time to discuss implementation of the new Emergency Preparedness Rule.

There are currently 38 complete Topic Collections in the Technical Resources domain. ASPR TRACIE just released the comprehensively developed Exercise Topic collection. Assistance Center
The Assistance Center has processed nearly 800 TTA requests from a variety of stakeholders, and recently released examples of state and local alternate care site plans and sample hospital cybersecurity and cyberattack prevention plans and templates in response to requests. We maintain a summary of many of the TTA requests received and we encourage you to reach out if you need assistance.

Upcoming Events
Registration is now open for the National Healthcare Coalition Preparedness Conference (NHCPC) in Washington, DC on December 13-14, 2016. Join us for the joint ASPR TRACIE-CMS presentation on Wednesday, December 14discussing the new CMS Emergency Preparedness Rule.

Also, the National Pediatric Disaster Coalition (NPDC) has joined with NHCPC this year and will be providing pediatric-specific presentations and an NPDC "meet and greet session" scheduled for Tuesday, December 13, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Interested in joining the NPDC? This letter provides more information.
