Medical Surge Ventilator Information
There have been 2 VCSN vents returned from a facility with cracked screens. We have been told the machines arrived that way. A new process is to open the case and check the screen with a hospital representative receiving the Ventec. They will have to sign off that all vents were received without defect. The screens are very expensive and currently they must be shipped to Washington state for repair.
Michigan received 200 Ventec V+Pro, from the SNS along with roller stands and heater packages. This will be the primary equipment available for high-flow oxygen therapy. Encourage HCC partners to be proactive and contact Ventec Life Systems for education before the ventilators are deployed and received.

Attached are 3 documents:
- The first walks the respiratory therapy clinician through setting up high flow through the V+Pro.
- Document 2 is a 1-page flyer with the opportunity to have Ventec provide a live-webinar or to watch a series of videos for education on the Ventecs. Both options have Continuing Education Credits approved by the American Association of Respiratory Care; membership is not required.
- The 3rd is for 24/7 clinical support contact information from Ventec.
