March 19, 2024 The Preparedness Lunch and Learn series continues March 19, 2024, with a discussion on Crisis and Emergency Risk Communication. Throughout the Preparedness Lunch and Learn series topics will continue to build knowledge for emergency managers in hospitals and other healthcare facilities as well as healthcare coalitions, local health departments, and tribes. NETEC Webinar Introduction to the 2024 Joint Commission Standards for Infection Control March 15, 2024 Join NETEC on March 15, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. for an exploration of the new infection control requirements established by the Joint Commission, the nation's oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care. Panelists will review key changes to the standards, which will go into effect July 1, 2024, and identify strategies for implementation and compliance. Resources and tools will be shared to empower organizations to help prepare for the new standards by July 2024. This webinar is for health care professionals who will implement and/or provide training on these new standards including, quality improvement teams, emergency managers, infection preventionists, hospital epidemiologists, educational specialists, nurse educators, and coordinators for physician education. Register for the Webinar FEMA- Resource Typing Library Tool (RTLT) Webinar March 13, 2024, or March 19, 2024 FEMA is hosting a 1-hour webinar on the Resource Typing Library Tool (RTLT), on March 13, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. ET, and on March 19, 2024, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. ET. The webinar will cover the basic capabilities and functions of the RTLT and explore new functions recently added to the tool. Resource management is the cornerstone of preparing for and responding to incidents that require mutual aid among agencies and jurisdictions. RTLT is a web-based catalog and authoritative source for all FEMA National Incident Management System (NIMS) and National Qualification System (NQS) resource types. RTLT includes Resource Typing Definitions, Job Titles/Position Qualification Sheets, and Position Task Book Templates. RTLT presents these resources in a format that is easy to search and discover, empowering resource managers and users to plan for mutual aid efforts. The webinar will explain RTLT's role in the resource management process. Participants gain insights into updates, including the addition of skillsets, the resource typing calculator function, and how to access historic versions of entries. FBI Training Opportunities Racial Equity Impact Assessment Toolkit A Racial Equity Impact Assessment (REIA) is a vital tool for analyzing how different racial and ethnic groups will likely be affected by a proposed action or decision. Use of an REIA, such as this one, minimizes unanticipated adverse consequences in a variety of contexts, including the analysis of proposed policies, institutional practices, programs, plans and budgetary decisions.
