It can be found in the document library under Regional Network > Resource Sharing > Operational Guidelines/Plans/Regions >. From the National Pediatric Disaster Coalition: FEMA National Preparedness Report 2023 Several actionable opportunities stand out from this report. #1 The need to improve personal preparedness. Only 45% of surveyed adults stated they were prepared for a disaster. Children rely on their caregivers to prepare for disaster. #2 State, Local, Tribal, and Territories (SLTT) are expected to conduct FEMA's Integrating the Needs of Children Workshops in their communities. The training program developed by FEMA in 2021, is basically a local emergency manager-led community training promoting integration of children’s needs during emergencies. Check with your local or district emergency manager to see if they are hosting a workshop and if you can participate. It may be a great opportunity to learn of community needs you are not aware of.
