It pays to be prepared. Thanks to the internet, we have plenty of emergency preparedness resources at our fingertips. A simple Google search of "Emergency Preparedness" will yield pages upon pages of results. In this post, we've narrowed those result to five federal websites that provide emergency preparedness resources for the healthcare sector.

ASPR TRACIE

From the ASPR TRACIE website:
Brought to you by HHS ASPR, the Technical Resources, Assistance Center, and Information Exchange (TRACIE) was created to meet the information and technical assistance needs of regional ASPR staff, healthcare coalitions, healthcare entities, healthcare providers, emergency managers, public health practitioners, and others working in disaster medicine, healthcare system preparedness, and public health emergency preparedness.
ASPR TRACIE provides each the above sectors with three sections: Technical Resources, Assistance Center, and Information Exchange. The Technical Resources domain is comprised of the Resource Library and the Topic Collections. Users will be able to search for and find current disaster medical, healthcare system preparedness, and public health preparedness materials. The Assistance Center domain will allows users to request training and technical assistance through an ASPR TRACIE Specialist. The Assistance Center receives a wide range of requests and provides a list of available Training and Technical Assistance Requests. The Information Exchange will allow users to connect with one another and engage in open discussion in "near real-time" conversation.

Another page on the PHE website offers information for and about the Hospital Preparedness Program. There, users will find links to the following: national webinars and events; guidance, research, and reports; and Surge Evaluation Tools and Tests.

On their web page, they state: CDC offers a variety of resources for clinicians, communicators, laboratorians, emergency planners and responders, and disaster relief volunteers to prepare them to respond to a public health emergency.
Additionally, the CDC website provides a great list of Clinician Resources which can be found on the Emergency Preparedness and Response Training Resources web page.
