Michigan State Police is sponsoring an 8-hour, DHS/DEMA certified, tuition-free, awareness-level course. The goal of this course is to teach participants the basics of mass fatality response while providing opportunities to exchange rural perceptions and brainstorm solutions to simulated emergencies. Please see the PDF below for more information. Registration must be completed by March 29, 2023. Coalitions are highly encouraged to attend this course.

This may be your last opportunity in 2017 to receive ICS Training due to anticipated funding cutbacks and instructor availability.
Northern Lakes Community Mental Health Services and Region 7 Healthcare Coalition will be conducting a Youth Mental Health First Aid course on March 29, 2017 from 8 am - 5 pm at the Gaylord University Center. The primary focus of this course is to provide understanding and recognition of the prevalence of various mental health disorders impacting youth, the need for reduced stigma in the community, and how to plan, identify, protect, and treat using resources and skills gained from the course.
Bureau of EMS, Trauma and Preparedness
May 23-25, 2017 This 18 hour course provides training on resources for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS). Trainers from the National Emergency Response and Rescue Training Center will be providing the course. Must have completed FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800 courses prior to registering.
