The next EMS Webinar, “Pediatric Assessment” will be held from 6-7pm EST on Wednesday, November 30, 2016.

PEDIATRIC ASSESSMENT WEBINAR INFORMATION
Webinar Presenter: Lance Corey,EMT-P,IC,CP-C, Director, Oceana County EMS
 
Goal: The SWBAT identify and become proficient in the ability to assess, manage, and treat pediatric patients with simulated traumatic and medical emergencies.

 
Objectives:
 
1.       The SWBAT correctly identify assessment techniques as presented in the lecturer and evaluated through oral evaluation during the presentation.
 
2.       The SWBAT correctly recall normal ranges of vital signs for pediatric as presented in current science and reviewed through the presentation
 
3.       The SWBAT correctly describe ways to use reference tools to assist with treating pediatric patients as presented during the presentation.
 
4.       The SWBAT correctly develop a treatment plan for a simulated patient, based on current State of Michigan Pre-Hospital Protocols, and evaluated through successful completion of a pre-determined case review.
Cost: There is NO cost to participate in the webinar!
Handouts and Additional Information:
At least two days prior to the program, you will be provided via e-mail the teleconference call number and information on how to connect to the webinar via ZOOM. The PowerPoint presentation will be available to be printed from our website about two days prior to the program.

After the program, those that attended the full program, monitored by roll call, will be emailed an attendance sheet as well as a quiz and an evaluation via Survey Monkey. This information is required for receiving a certificate which will include your 1.0 credit of continuing education.

The presentation will be available on the web, www.mcrh.msu.edu, under the EMS link or you may open the PowerPoint document which again, I will send roughly two days prior to the webinar.
  • Upon completion of the program, you will be emailed an attendance form, quiz, and an evaluation. I will send this out directly following the webinar. You will have two weeks to complete or by Wednesday, December 14, 2016.
Attendance will be monitored by roll call before the program and after the program.
  • If you have more than one person viewing from your location, please email me a list of everyone attending upon receipt of this, as then I can add them to the roll call list.
  • If you have difficulty connecting to the webinar component of the presentation, you can listen to the audio (using your telephone) and follow along with the PowerPoint. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
