MGT - 317 Disaster Management for Public Services

With this real world training, public service stakeholders can extend their knowledge and skills for protecting their communities and critical infrastructure from potential or actual threats.

During this course, participants work together in multidisciplinary teams to apply the course information with their professional experience in a variety of hands-on, small group activities and disaster scenarios.
 
This course brings together planning and management officials who are expected to identify and mitigate hazards, and who plan and manage disaster response and recovery efforts 
or have emergency management roles within their jurisdictions.
Participants successfully completing this course will receive a course certificate of completion.

Individuals who complete this course in combination with the below courses are eligible for the TEEX Infrastructure Disaster Management Program Certificate.
MGT-345 Disaster Management for Electric Power Systems
MGT-341 Disaster Preparedness for Hospitals and Healthcare Organizations within the Community Infrastructure
MGT- 343 Disaster Management for Water and Wastewater Utilities

Course Length:
Two days (16 hours)
 


Registration - MI TRAIN INSTRUCTIONS:
Registering for a Course:
1. Go to the MI-TRAIN website at https://mi.train.org
2. Enter your login name and password and select the Login button.
3. At the top right of the page, in the box that says Search by Keyword or Course ID, type 1065248 and then select the magnifying glass.
4. Verify the course title MGT-317 Disaster Management for Public Services
5. Select the Registration tab:
6. Select the Register button associated with the proper training session & location.
7. You will receive a confirmation message you have registered for the course.
