The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is hosting a webinar on October 21, 2016, at 11:00 AM (Eastern Time) to discuss how preparedness officials and others can use the National Health Security Preparedness Index to improve the ability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies that pose threats to population health. The goal of the discussion is to provide opportunities for participants to learn from each other, ask questions, and share ideas for how the Index can be used and how collaboration can help to close gaps in preparedness. The Index is an annual assessment of health security and preparedness that measures how well the nation and individual states are prepared for minimizing the population health consequences arising from large-scale emergencies. The 2016 Index was released in April of this year.
